Prenatal Massage
My home island is Maui and I grew up along Iao stream listening to the
flowing water and tumbling rocks. The stream was vibrant and healthy.
It is still the place where I feel the most comfort and it is the vessel
that connects me to the earth. The intertwining of health and education
has been the focus of my work life. It has been my privilege to support
families in the beginning phases of birth and parenting. Through childbirth
education, working as a doula and licensed massage therapist I have
met many wonderful people and witnessed the loving beginning of many
babies’ lives.
Sharing what I’ve learned along the way is very satisfying and
I hope to continue to contribute to peaceful and healthy beginnings
for
many more babies.

Microscopy The phase contrast blood assessment and brightfield live
and dry blood analysis are used as a screening test to monitor metabolic dysfunction,
thereby taking the guesswork out of diet determination and the selection of an
appropriate supplementation regime.
The tests are carried out by extracting a minute amount of capillary blood from
the fingertip and placing it on a microscope slide and then observing it through
two different optical modalities of a high powered microscope. This technique
enables a microscopist as well a client to observe and analyze the features of
the blood terrain via video monitor. Among the phenomena observed in the live
and dry blood are: read
