The Aloha Institute of Massage & Healing Arts (“AIMHA”)
is the oldest and most highly respected massage school on O’ahu,
Hawaii. It is renowned for its dedicated teachers and creative curriculum.
We have over 1000 extraordinary graduates sharing massage therapy around
the world.
The Aloha Institute of Massage & Healing Arts Hawaii began
in 1985 under the name the American Institute of Massage Therapy (“AIMT”)
and grew rapidly to 3 classes per year with approximately 18 students
per class. The program has developed from the initial state required
150 classroom hours to a dynamic 600 hour curriculum which surpasses
the state requirement of 570 hours. AIMHA is accredited by the Hawaii
Department of Education.
In 2001 AIMHA moved to 22 Oneawa St., Kailua,
into our own facility with natural lighting, open doors and windows
and a garden.
In 2002 AIMHA earned authorization under Federal law to
enroll nonimmigrant alien students.In 2004 AIMHA earned approval by
the VA for tuition assistance.
In 2007 we changed our name from the American
Institute of Massage Therapy to Aloha Institute of Massage and Healing
Arts to better express our love of massage therapy with our unique combination
of a variety of Healing Arts.
AIMHA students come from all over the world
and all walks of life to bond in a unified goal of higher personal education
and world service. Our graduates are currently found in the most prestigious
spas and in highly adaptable private practices across the United States
and around the world. They co-create personal success as they live with
health and happiness and find their unique contribution of service.
