Massage Therapy Programs
Our Hawaii State Licensing Program is 600 hours in 2 levels

Level 1
200 Classroom Hours – 12.5 Weeks
• 50 hours of Anatomy, Physiology & Structural Kinesiology
(quiz & exams given)
• 150 hours of hands-on massage technique
• 50 hours of structured study & field-trips
• Homework assignments to give & receive massages each week
• Radical Self-Care

Required Classes:
Anatomy, Physiology:
Sunday 9 am - 12 noon
Hands-on-technique:
Sunday 1 pm - 5 pm, Tues. & Thurs. 6:30 - 9:30 pm
Practice Lab:
Wednesday 9 - 12 noon OR 6:30 - 9:30 PM
Seated Massage

Level II
Living Your Knowledge
400 hours of advanced classes and hands-on practice at our Community Clinic 16 weeks

 
120 hours of Advanced Classes:
Advanced Clinical Swedish, Advanced Chair, Trigger Points, Macrobiotics, Radical Self Care, Prenatal Massage, Counterstrain, Cross Fiber Friction, PNF Stretches, Myofascial Release, Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy

• 280 hours of Hands-on Supervised Practice:
Sharing massages at our Community Clinic, Clinical Procedures. Community Service Project, Community Events, Clinical Research Project, Tutorials with an LMT, How to start and grow your business, Ethics and Professionalism
  •110 Community Clinic
• 70 Clinical procedures
• 5 Community Service Project
• 74 Self Directed Study
• 15 Clinical Research Project
• 6 Tutorials with an LMT
 
Level II offers you the opportunity to:
1. Hone your massage skills
2. Deepen your study and knowledge of anatomy, physiology and structural kinesiology
3. Explore advanced massage techniques to discover what excites you and how to nurture your innate gifts and talents
4. Establish good business skills
5. Learn how to create a disciplined, personal lifestyle that supports you in becoming a happy, healthy massage therapists all of which leads you forward to a successful and satisfying career in the dynamic field of massage therapy.

Required Classes each month:
Mondays 6:30 - 9:30 pm
Saturdays 9 am - 4 pm

Your Community Clinic hours are scheduled to support your personal life as well as our Clinic.
Level II begins three weeks after graduation from Level 1: early January, May, and September. The State licensing requirement translates to about 22 hours a week. As a “full time” and disciplined student, you will finish Level 2 in 4 months. As a “part time” student with 14-16 hours a week you will finish Level 2 in about 5 months.
