The Aloha Institute of Massage and Healing Arts
basic massage is a relaxing and therapeutic combination of
Traditional Lomilomi
(the essence of Aloha and your connection with your High
Self), Swedish (Western medical massage including lymphatic
drainage), and Energy Healing (quantum physics and vibrational
medicine in action).
Classes are hands-on and experiential. Classes are taught
in audio, visual, kinesthetic and sensing modes to command
your complete learning capacity.
Right Hands
Right Hands requires right technique. We limit our class
size, enabling us to provide you with one on one instruction
in Swedish Massage, Shiatsu, Sports Massage, Reflexology,
Energy Medicine, Trigger Point Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage
and Seated Massage. With each hour of practice your confidence
will grow. By the end of the semester, most students are
surprised by how natural it feels to give a therapeutic massage
and by how good it feels to receive one.
Right Learning
Right Learning requires right teaching. Using exercises based
on Touch for Health and Educational Kinesiology that make
learning easy and fun, our instructors will teach you basic
anatomy, physiology and structural kinesiology. You'll learn
everything you need to know about the body to pass the Hawaii
state and National Certification exams. More importantly,
you'll come away with a new appreciation for how the body
worked and how to use that knowledge in your professional
practice.
Right Heart
Right Heart requires right intention. True healing happens
when the practitioner is able to reach the nurturing, loving
place inside of themselves and through educated touch, communicate
that love to their client. Intention is as important as technique.
At AIMHA we don't teach you how to become a healer, rather
we help you to bring out the healing energy that already
resides in each of us.
Right Living
Right Living refers to using your massage skills to help
heal individuals and your community as well as provide you
with a prosperous, rewarding career. We'll teach you how
to manage a business of your own, so that when you leave
our school as a graduate, you'll feel confident not only
in your skills as a therapist, but as a business person as
well.
